The costs of the Ever Given incident in the Suez Canal are still mounting, weeks after the grounding of the huge container ship.

Although freed inside the Suez Canal, the megaship Ever Given and its cargo remain impounded in Egypt as its insurers dispute the bill for last month's shipping logjam.
The headline-making cargo ship has been impounded on a lake until its owners cough up at least $900 million in compensation. Egypt incurred heavy financial losses from the canal jam.
The Ever Given has been freed in the Suez Canal and traffic has begun to flow again. The container ship was blocking the canal for nearly a week, holding up billions in trade.
Traffic along one of the world's most important trade routes has come to a standstill as tugboats and excavation trucks do their best to dislodge the 400-meter vessel.
