Beethoven in Baghdad

Astrid Vehstedt intended to stage Goethe’s ‘Egmont’ in Baghdad set to the music of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture. But due to Covid-19, the director had to alter her at the last minute. Instead of a work for theater, she made a documentary.
