Hamburg’s historical links to England are fostered nowadays in wide-ranging business ties to the UK. The northern German city is also home to thousands of Brits, many of whom say they feel right at home there
– and not just because of the weather.
Widely claimed as the birthplace of The Beatles, no other German city has the British flair of Hamburg. But with the UK's exit from the EU looming, a post-Brexit future is proving hard to come together in the port city.
With Brexit looming, uncertainty affects many people across Europe. DW travelled to Hamburg in northern Germany, where Brits are anxious about the consequences of the UK leaving the European Union without a deal.
