Over the past few weeks, Turkey’s declining currency has been making headlines all over the world. DW asked Bahadir Kaleagasi from the Turkish Industry and Business Association to explain the source of the country’s economic woes.
As Russia, the EU and China eye the Western Balkans, it may be that the old colonial power, Turkey, is best placed to play a key role in the region. And this perhaps because of, not despite, its economic problems.
