"Deutsche Welle is an example of competent, objective and professional journalism. Today my country is not experiencing the best of times: democratic processes are being dismantled, hopes of joining Europe blocked, and censorship is returning. More than ever before we need independent media that tells people the truth. Deutsche Welle is one of these media".

Vitali Volodymyrovych Klitschko is a Ukrainian professional boxer and the reigning WBC heavyweight champion. He is leader of the political party Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform and since December 2012, a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
