Spy novelist John le Carre dies, aged 89

British novelist John le Carre has died. The writer, whose real name was David Cornwell, became wildly popular for his thrillers, which touched on his real-life experiences as a spy during the Cold War. His novels "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" and "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold" were global bestsellers. He was 89.
