Prostitutes in Ghana battle for recognition

Surveys conducted by human rights groups in Ghana have revealed that many young women from deprived communities are increasingly engaging in prostitution, especially in slum areas. Activists say the prostitutes are often abused by their clients and law enforcement officers.
