The North American International Auto Show in Detroit, or NAIAS for short, is the year's first big motor show. It presents the innovations and trends awaiting us in 2018. Along with the big US brands, foreign manufacturers are also on hand.
The North American International Auto Show kicks off this week. Largely shunned by European carmakers, the expo will be a concentration of American might. It may also be the end of an era.
The North American International Auto Show is still the biggest and premier auto show in North America. But, this year, only one German carmaker bothered to show up. Maya Shwayder reports from Detroit.
