Elon Musk's decision to build his European Gigafactory in Germany outside of Berlin has seen local authorities making big plans. One family on the ground that owns a Tesla car shares their thoughts about the project.
Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk pledged to build "Gigafactory 4" in the Berlin area. Several countries have attempted to sway the company toward building a factory on their territory.
In typical Elon Musk style, he almost casually announced plans to build the European Tesla factory on the outskirts of Berlin. For German carmakers the plans have come just at the right time, says DW's Henrik Böhme.
