Germany’s reunification was a poignant and memorable event for many. We were keen to know about particularly touching moments in your life - and here are the photos!

The fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 and the subsequent reunification in October 1990 are among the most significant moments in the lives of many Germans. Friends and family members were once again able to embrace after decades of separation. The border between East and West was suddenly abolished. The events are commemorated every year on 3 October, the Day of German Unity. We asked if there were any special moments that touched your lives. We received so many wonderful pictures – thanks to everyone who participated!
