Russia has denied reports that it's issued an ultimatum for Ukrainian troops to surrender, as Western leaders concede that Kyiv has lost control of the Crimean peninsula.
Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian film director jailed by Russia on terrorism charges, has agreed to eat again after a 144-day fast. Sentsov opposed Russia's 2014 annexation of the Crimean Peninsula.
The controversial Crimean Bridge was finished six months early and links Russia's southern Krasnodar region with the Crimean city of Kerch. It's hoped the bridge will help reduce Crimea's reliance on sea transport.
Ukraine's state security agency has raided the offices of a Russian state-owned media outlet in Kyiv. Security agents also arrested a Ukrainian-born Russian journalist, accusing him of treason.
The Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague has said it has jurisdiction to hear the case of a Ukrainian company seeking to recover damages for property lost when Russia annexed Crimea.
