Hidden Treasure - Iran’s Legendary Modern Art Collection

English One of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art outside Europe and the US is located in Iran at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. The works were acquired some 40 years ago on the initiative of then-empress Farah Pahlavi. After the Islamic Revolution in 1979 the non-Islamic artworks were locked away. Many of them have never been displayed in Iran.
