Is there still COVID-19 in Africa?

In Nigeria and Ghana, almost nobody wears masks in public these days or observes social distancing rules. The number of cases is decreasing and hospitals are empty. How come some countries in Africa got through the pandemic better than others?

A track driver comes for unloading bags with the daily harvest of coffee cherries at the coffee factory of Mubuyu Farm, Zambia.
