Instructions on how to make a knife block out of books
Today our DIY expert Sari Hansen is going to show you how to breathe new life into your old books. It’s super-easy, and super-fast to do, and looks pretty cool.
You'll need
- books. Best is if their colors go together
- a hot-melt glue gun
- some twine
- and knives, of course
Instructions
First, glue the books together.
It's enough to put some hot-melt gluein the corners and the middle of the books.
Stand one book on itsend and press it against the next.
Do that one book after the other.
Finally, wrap the twine twice around the block of books.
Tie the ends on the back side.
That's it! You can now store knives in your new knife block.
Good to know
If you don’t have books that match color-wise, you can stick different books together and spray the block with the color of your choice.
