How do I use the offline mode on DW’s app?

Offline mode makes it possible to use the app without an Internet connection. You can also reduce the bandwidth usage by switching to text mode.

When switching to offline mode, you should make sure that you are using a WiFi network, as a relatively large amount of data will have to be downloaded. A window will appear asking you to confirm the download. A selection of content will then be saved as well as the favorites in the My DW section. The downloaded content will then be available when you are offline. In addition, you will be able to access any articles that you have already opened.

The same process will be repeated every time you activate the offline mode. In order to keep your data usage down to a minimum, you can additionally activate the text mode before activating the offline mode. That ensures that pictures and videos won’t be downloaded, thereby reducing the necessary bandwidth.
