Dr. Nadja Scholz, born in 1977, has been Head of Corporate Strategy since 2016. At the same time, she is responsible for the innovation laboratory "DW Lab", where new digital products are developed.
Scholz studied German-Italian Studies in Bonn and Florence and received her PhD in Literature in 2007. She then qualified as an editor and journalist at the German School of Journalism in Munich.
She worked as a journalist for various media (including "Süddeutsche Zeitung", "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger" and "Kölner Express") before joining Deutsche Welle in 2008. There she held various positions including TV reporter and shift editor.
Since 2016, she has been in charge of the Corporate Strategy department. Scholz is responsible for developing strategies to promote the digital transformation of the company. In 2017, Scholz created the innovation lab "DW Lab", where digital journalistic products are conceived.
