Industrial output in Germany fell a seasonally adjusted 1.9 percent in June from May, according to preliminary data published Friday by the Economics and Labor Ministry. However, it rose 2.3 percent year-on-year when adjusted for the number of working days, the data showed. The ministry said that it expected a "strong upwards revision," adding that output rose a revised 0.9 percent in May from April. A breakdown of the preliminary June data showed manufacturing output and energy output both down month-to-month while construction output rose.
