At the US-Africa economic summit, stakeholders from both sides meet to discuss future business. Africa's political elite is represented in large numbers. Interest in the US is not as strong.

Bayer's subsidiary Monsanto is expanding production of genetically modified seeds in Chile, prompting an outcry from environmental groups. The Latin American country is a leading exporter of seeds worldwide.
