The world's first medical center specialising in helping the victims of gential mutilation has opened in Berlin. It's been set up by the Desert Flower Foundation run by the supermodel-turned-activist Waris Dirie. It hopes to treat up to 100 women a year, offering reconstructive surgery and psychological support.
