For the last few days Pakistan’s new prime minister has been involved in lengthy negotiations on his new cabinet. The most important cabinet jobs in the 23-member cabinet are expected to go to members of the Pakistan People’s Party, which has the largest number of MPs in parliament. But former premier Nawaz Sharif is determined that his party should get some of the top posts too.
