Commerzbank CEO Martin Blessing has been under sharp scrutiny by the media and public for some time now. That’s in large part due to the government bailout of his bank. Even today, the German government holds a 17-percent stake in the lender. Now Martin Blessing is the first top banker to take on what he sees as the problematic ties between the state and the banking industry.
