The ‘Black & White’ exhibition at Dusseldorf’s Museum Kunstpalast reviews 700 years of monochrome artwork. On display are works by Alberto Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Gerhard Richter and Ólafur Elíasson.

Where to best show art? The Art Cologne, Germany biggest art fair, plans to expand to Berlin, while Art Basel's organizers are eyeing Dusseldorf. Germany could be headed for a major conflict between art fair locations.
Bernd and Hilla Becher used to be Germany's most recognized artists. Their images of industrial complexes shook up the art world. Their students knew they had big shoes to fill; their works are now on show in Frankfurt.
