The implementation of the universal SDG's and the role of the economy

The SDGs, adopted in September 2015 by the General Assembly of the United Nations have provided a new and challenging framework for the sustainable development of the world. The universal approach of the SDGs, which have been constructed to be applied to developed and developing countries in joint responsibility, provide a unique opportunity to save the planet and provide prosperity at the same time. However, it remains a challenging task to fight poverty on a global scale, cope with accelerating urbanization, solve major energy problems and preserve the climate in one single step. Furthermore, what roles should the economy and the media play in this endeavor?
