Pörzgen, Gemma

Gemma Pörzgen is a freelance journalist living in Berlin and a board member of Reporters Without Borders in Germany. She works as a media consultant for the Uzbekistan Press Freedom Group in Berlin, which supports uznews.net. Pörzgen was born in 1962 in Bonn, but grew up in Moscow. She studied political science and Russian literature in Munich. Pörzgen worked as a news editor for the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau and was a foreign correspondent in Belgrad and Tel Aviv for several years.
