Mittenhuber, Martina

Head of the Human Rights Office of the City of Nuremberg


Martina Mittenhuber was born in.1963 in Neunstetten, Germany. She studied history at the University of Erlangen and Bordeaux and received a master of arts. Mittenhuber started out as a scientific staff member at Geschichte Für Alle e.V., before moving on to the Federal Employment Agency (BA) where she held several positions. She was head of the Foreign Job Placement Department in Bonn in 2009 and has since taken over as head of the Human Rights Office of the City of Nuremberg. Her overall objective is the implementation of a human rights based approach in all fields of local policies.
