Asbeha, Tesfay

German Writer, Developmental Analyst, Political Consultant and Translator

Tesfay Asbeha is a German writer, developmental analyst, political consultant and translator. He was born in Ethiopia and is a graduate of the Ethiopian Military Academy in Harer (1976). He also holds a degree in political economy from the University for Economics and Politics in Hamburg (1994). Tesfay Asbeha was a member of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) in the 1970s and 1980s where he served as military trainer, unit commander and cadre teacher from 1976-1979. From 1980 to 1989 he worked as liaison officer for the Relief Society of Tigray (REST) and editor of “People’s Voice”, the TPLF media organ in both London and Rome. Asbeha is fluent in Tigrigna, Amharic, German and English and also speaks French and Italian.
