Rais wa Marekani Barack Obama na waziri mkuu wa Uturuki Recep Tayyip Erdogan wamerudia wito wao wa kumtaka rais Bashar al Assad wa Syria kuachia madaraka.

Rais Obama (kulia) na waziri mkuu wa Uturuki(kushoto)

Mzozo wa Syria ilikuwa mada kuu ya mazungumzo kati ya Erdogan na rais Barack Obama. Wanasiasa hao wawili hata hivyo hawakuja na msimamo kamili kuhusiana na kuusaidia upande wa wapinzani nchini Syria, na kwa upande wa uwezekano wa kutumiwa kwa silaha za kemikali hakuna jipya lililojitokeza.

Ziko pande nyingi zitakazohusika pamoja na washirika , na pia Uturuki kwa mtazamo wa Marekani ni mshirika muhimu , katika Syria ya baadaye , wakati rais Bashar al-Assad atakapoondoka madarakani.

Rais Assad katika mahojiano na kituo cha televisheni nchini Syria

Rais Barack Obama anafahamu kuwa Uturuki ina mpaka wenye urefu wa karibu kilometa 900 pamoja na Syria na hili ni tatizo kubwa kwa utawala wa waziri mkuu Erdogan katika vita vinavyoendelea kushika kasi vyenye hamasa za kidini na kuzusha mapigano ya kimadhehebu nchini Syria ambayo yanaweza kusambaa hadi nchini mwake.

Silaha za kemikali

Kuhusiana na matumizi ya gesi ya sumu katika vita hivyo dhidi ya raia, Obama amesema kwa jumla tu , kwamba matumizi hayo ya silaha za kemikali katika dunia hii ya hivi sasa ni jambo linalovuka mipaka. Kwa upande wa waziri mkuu Erdogan hata hivyo , ni wazi kwamba mwenyeji wake hana haja ya kuingilia kati kijeshi mzozo wa Syria.

Kwamba kulikuwa na matumizi ya silaha za kemikali hilo lilikubalika katika mkutano wa viongozi hao wawili jana Alhamis. Lakini nani ametumia silaha hizo na lini , hata Erdogan binafsi hakuweza kusema. Kutokana na kuchoka vita na kutohamasika bado, uwezekano wa kupeleke majeshi ndani ya Syria, Obama amerejea msimamo wake.

"Ziko hatua kadha ambazo tayari Marekani inazichukua na inawezekana kuchukua hatua zaidi, za kijeshi na kidiplomasia . Kwa sababu silaha hizi za kemikali nchini Syria pia zinatishia usalama wetu wa muda mrefu, pamoja na washirika wetu, na hata marafiki na majirani."

Viongozi hao wamekutana jana(16.05.2013) mjini Washington wakati juhudi za kuuleta utawala wa Assad na upinzani nchini Syria katika mkutano wa kimataifa mwezi ujao zinashika kasi.

Assad lazima aondoke

Katika mkutano wao wa pamoja na waandishi habari , viongozi hao wa Uturuki na Marekani wamerudia msimamo wao, lakini Obama amekiri kuwa hakuna dawa ya ajabu ya kushughulikia hali ambayo si ya kawaida kabisa ya matumizi ya nguvu kama ilivyo nchini Syria.

Nae waziri wa mambo ya kigeni wa urusi Sergei Lavrov amesema kuwa Iran ni lazima ishiriki katika mazungumzo ya kimataifa yaliyopendekezwa kumaliza mzozo nchini Syria , lakini mataifa ya magharibi yanataka kuweka ukomo wa idadi ya washiriki na huenda yakaamua matokeo ya mkutamo huo kabla.

Matamshi yanayokinzana kutoka Urusi na mataifa ya magharibi kuhusu nafasi ya Iran katika mkutano huo yameongeza hali ya kutokubaliana ambayo tayari inatishia kuvuruga mkutano huo uliopendekezwa na Urusi na Marekani wiki iliyopita.

Putin Rais wa Urusi

Katibu mkuu yuko Sochi

Nae katibu mkuu wa umoja wa mataifa Ban Ki-moon atajadili mzozo wa Syria na rais wa Urusi Vladimir Putin. Mazungumzo hayo yatafanyika katika makao yake katika mji wa kitalii kusini mwa nchi hiyo wa Sochi.

Wakati huo huo waasi wa Syria wamewakamata wanajeshi watatu wa kulinda amani wa umoja wa mataifa katika eneo la milima ya Golan, ikiwa ni tukio la tatu katika muda wa miezi miwili katika eneo kati ya Syria na Israel.
