在北韓拒絕就南北韓開城共同工業園區前途進行談判後,韓國政府要求仍在該工業園區的韓國公民立即離開當地。韓國統一部長官柳吉在今天(4月26日)在首爾表示,所有還在開城的韓國公民應離開北韓。曾被視為南北韓合作的象徵的開城工業園區佔地6400公頃,距南北韓邊界僅10公里,2005年正式投入營運,是北韓獲得外匯的少數重要渠道之一。在朝鮮半島緊張局勢加劇的背景下,本月初,北韓封鎖了該工業園區,並撤出了全部5.3萬名朝方雇員。
