Bei einer Vorlesung für Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der TU Chemnitz sitzen unter den Studenten viele Chinesen. Von den 750 ausländischen Studierenden aus 70 Ländern, die sich derzeit in Chemnitz eingeschrieben haben, kommen allein 314 aus China und sind damit die größte Gruppe unter den Ausländern an der Universität. Besonders nachgefragt sind Studienangebote aus den Wirtschaftswissenschaften, aus dem Maschinenbau und der Informatik. Für die TU Chemnitz ist Asien und dabei besonders die Volksrepublik China ein attraktiver Bildungsmarkt. Besonders enge Beziehungen unterhält sie zur Fudan-Universität Shanghai und zur Beihang-Universität Peking. Die pakistanische Mittelstreckenrakete HATF-IV (Shaheen-I) wird am 08.12.2004 an einem unbekannten Ort getestet. Die beiden Atommächte Indien und Pakistan wollen sich künftig über geplante Raketentests vorab informieren. Zudem soll im September eine direkte Telefonverbindung zwischen den Außenministerien beider Länder eingerichtet werden, um das Risiko eines versehentlichen oder ungenehmigten Einsatzes von Atomwaffen zu vermindern. A surface-to-surface Agni V missile is launched from the Wheeler Island off the eastern Indian state of Odisha April 19, 2012. Indien hat eine atomwaffenfähige Mittelstreckenrakete mit einer Reichweite bis zur chinesischen Hauptstadt Peking getestet und die Versuchsreihe mit diesem Raketentyp abgeschlossen. Das Verteidigungsministerium in Neu Delhi teilte mit, der dritte und letzte Test am Mittwoch 07.05.2008 sei ein «voller Erfolg» gewesen. Die Rakete könne nun den Streitkräften übergeben werden. Die Agni III ist nach dem Hindu-Gott des Feuers benannt und hat mit mehr als 3000 Kilometern die größte Reichweite im indischen Raketenarsenal. EPA +++(c) dpa - Report+++
