Mızıkacıların şehri Bremen
Bremen, Almanya’nın en küçük eyaleti. Weser Nehri boyunca uzanan bu şehrin gelişmesinde ticaretin önemi büyük.
Nehir kenarındaki şehir
Bremen’deki yaşamda nehir büyük rol oynuyor. Eskiden nehir boyunu ticaret gemileri doldururken, günümüzde Bremenliler sahil şeridinde yürüyüş yaparak boş zamanlarını değerlendiriyor. Önceden depo olarak kullanılan binalar artık bar ya da restoran olarak hizmet veriyor.
UNESCO listesindeki belediye
Kentin belediye binası 15'inci yüzyılın başlarında kent sakinleri tarafından inşa edilmişti. Kent halkı günümüzde de şehri hem kültürel hem de sosyal açıdan desteklemeye devam ediyor. Bremen’deki belediye binası UNESCO Dünya Kültür Mirası Listesi’nde yer alıyor.
Roland burada durduğu sürece
"Roland" isimli şövalye heykeli de 2004 yılında Dünya Kültür Mirası Listesi’ne dâhil edildi. Bu yıl 609'uncu yaşını kutlayan "Roland" heykelinin şehirde ayrı bir yeri var. Efsaneye göre, heykel orada durup nöbet tuttuğu sürece, şehir özgür ve bağımsız kalacak.
Unutulan kilise
Belediye binasının yanında 90 metrelik kuleleriyle St. Petri Katedrali yükseliyor. Gotik mimarinin bir eseri olan kilise 16 ve 17'inci yüzyıllarda siyasi ve dini sebeplerden dolayı onlarca yıl kapalı kaldı ve çöktü. 19'uncu yüzyılın sonunda ise katedral yeniden inşa edildi.
Bremen Mızıkacıları
Şehrin en tanınmışları şüphesiz onlar. Eşek, köpek, kedi ve horoz Grimm Kardeşlerin bir masalında yaşlı oldukları ve güçten düştükleri için terk edilirler. Müzisyen olmak için Bremen şehrine gelen bu dört hayvan, hırsızlara hadlerini bildirirler. Gerhard Marcks imzalı heykel 1953 yılından beri belediye binasının yanında.
Hem esnaf hem kurucu
Böttcher caddesinin küçük dükkânları, müzeleri ve restoranları şehri ziyaret edenleri cezbediyor. Bremen’in adını çekici kılan bir diğer isim ise kahve tüccarı Ludwig Roselius. Roselius, Böttcher caddesi 6 numarada, 1906 yılında açtığı dükkânda ilk defa kafeinsiz kahve üretmeye başladı.
Tartışmalı eser
Ludwig Roselius 1920’li yıllarda sanatçı Bernhard Hoerger’i sokağı süslemesi için görevlendirdi. 1936 tarihli altın kaplama eser, sokağın girişini süslerken tartışmaları da sürüyor. Çünkü sanatçının eserinde Adolf Hitler’e olan hayranlığını yansıttığı düşünülüyor.
Büyüleyici mimari
Sokakta bulunan tuğla binalar geleneksel ve dışavurumcu mimariyi bir araya getiren mükemmel bir örnek. İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nda yıkılan birçok yapı, 1950’lerde restore edildi. Sokak 1973’ten bu yana koruma altında.
Ortaçağ cazibesi
Schnoor, Bremen’in en eski mahallelerinden biri. Mahallenin ismi Almanca ip anlamına gelen “Schnur” kelimesinden geliyor. Çünkü bu mahallenin sokaklarında eskiden halat ve urgan üretiliyordu. Nehirde balıkçılık yapanlar ve denizciler Ortaçağ’dan kalma bu mahallede yaşarlardı.
Gözde mahalle
Weser Nehri boyunca uzanan ve “Viertel” adıyla anılan mahalle alternatif barları, ekolojik ürünlerin satıldığı marketleri ve butikleriyle hem gece hem de gündüz sevilen bir buluşma noktası. 1968 yılında Bremen öğrenci protestolarının başladığı ünlü dans kulübü “Lila Eule” de şehrin bu bölgesinde.
Su baskınları
Yaz aylarında Bremenliler Weser Nehri kıyısında sıkça vakit geçiriyorlar. Setler sadece gezintiler için kullanılmıyor. Şehir nehre olan yakınlığından dolayı sık sık su baskını tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya kalıyor. Kent sakinleri daha 13'üncü yüzyıldan itibaren taşkınlardan kendilerini korumak için setler inşa etmeye başlamış.
Bremen’deki kumsal
Bremen’in en ünlü kafesi Weser Nehri’ndeki bir adanın ortasında. “Café Sand” adlı restoran ve bira bahçesine feribotla ulaşılabiliyor. Kıyıya çıktıklarında misafirleri kumsal ve tatil atmosferi karşılıyor. Özellikle genç aileler için bu kafe sevilen bir yer.
Sonuna kadar yeşil-beyaz
Werder Bremen futbol takımının ne kadar iyi ya da kötü oynadığı hiç önemli değil, çünkü tüm şehrin kalbi takımları için atıyor. Weser stadyumundaki müzede federasyon kupası ve diğer şampiyonluk kupalarının yanında nadir posterler ve fotoğraflar ziyaretçilerin seyrine sunuluyor. © Deutsche Welle Türkçe
