Aymara Kadınları'nın çifte ayrımcılığa başkaldırışı
Bolivya’nın yerli kadınlarının ''gözü yükseklerde''. Aymara Kadınları, And Dağları’nın zirvesine kadar tırmanıp yerli kültürün ataerkil karakterine meydan okuyorlar.
Engellenemez yükseliş
Bu yerli kadınlar kısa süre öncesine kadar ana kampta kalıp yemek pişiriyorlardı. Ancak artık bu rolden sıyrılmak istiyorlar. Aymara Halkı’nın yerli kadınları turistlere Bolivya’nın ünlü And Dağları’nın zirvesine kadar rehberlik ediyorlar. En sevilen zirve ise ‚‘‘genç tepe‘‘ olarak bilinen "Huayna Potosí". Bu tepe, Bolivya'nın başkenti La Paz’dan yalnızca 25 kilometre uzaklıkta.
"Cholaların" azmi
Aymara Halkı kadınlarından Vedia (solda), Dora Magueno (ortada) ve Lidia Huayllas (sağda) artık aşçı ve hamal olarak ikinci planda kalmak istememişler. Böylece geleneksel kıyafetli yerlilere verilen ismiyle bu üç "Chola", tırmanış rehberlerinden oluşan bir gruba katılmışlar ve erkek meslektaşlarına rakip olmuşlar.
Eteksiz olmaz
Tırmanış sırasında yerliler mola yerlerinde şapkalarını kasklarla değiştiriyorlar. Ayrıca ‚ ‘‘Pollera‘‘ adlı geleneksel pileli etekleri de bu tırmanışların olmazsa olmazlarından. Bir ‘‘Pollera‘‘ 6 ila 8 metrelik bir kumaştan oluşuyor ve bazılarının tam on adet iç etekliği oluyor. Geleneksel Aymara kıyafetine ‘‘Manta‘‘ isimli bir panço ve ‘‘Bombin‘‘ isimli bir fötr şapka da dahil.
‘‘Pollera‘‘ tabu olmaktan çıkarsa
‘‘Cholalar'' bu pileli eteği uzun bir süre tabuydu. Geleneksel kıyafetli Bolivyalılar, bu etekle bir mekana girmek istedikleri zaman genellikle kapıdan geri çevriliyorlardı. Ancak yerli kökenleri olmayan ve İspanyol koloni döneminden kalma bu kıyafet parçası artık Bolivya’nın yerli halkının özgüvenini temsil ediyor.
Geleneksel kıyafet cep yakıyor
‘‘Pollera‘‘nın Bolivya’daki yoksul yerlileri temsil ettiği zamanlar geride kaldı. Artık bu geleneksel kıyafet karnavallarda, dini törenlerde ve halk festivallerinde giyiliyor. Ayrıca bu kıyafetin bir pazarı da oluşmuş durumda. Bütün parçalarıyla bir kıyafet yaklaşık 274 Euro’ya mal oluyor. Vikunya yünü bir şalın fiyatıysa 900 Euro’ya kadar çıkabiliyor.
Eşitlik mücadelesi için aşılan tepeler
Bolivyalı Aymara Kadınları yalnızca yerli bir halk oldukları için değil, aynı zamanda kadın oldukları için de ayrımcılığa uğruyor. Yine de bir Aymara olan Evo Morales Bolivya Devlet Başkanı olduğundan beri bu yerli halkın özgüveni hatırı sayılır derece artmış. Buna karşın dağcılar kendi kültürlerindeki ataerkil motiflere karşı da mücadele veriyor.
Tam teçhizatlı bir özgüven
Yeni bir meslek, yeni bir kimlik: Tırmanıcılardan 48 yaşındaki Lidia Huayllas (solda) ve 50 yaşındaki Dora Magueno kendilerini ve ekipmanlarını gururla tanıtıyorlar: buz kazması, tırmanma demiri, halat, kayış ve kasklarıyla bu yerli kadınlar turistlere iki yıldır derin yarıklar ve sarp kayalıkları aşarken rehberlik ediyorlar.
Güneşin evine tırmanış
Yerli kadınlar ayrıca uzun saçlarıyla tanınıyorlar. Aymara Kadınları henüz şafak sökerken parlak saçlarını tarayıp örüyorlar. Daha sonra da yola koyuluyorlar; mesela 6439 metre yüksekliğindeki İllimani’ye doğru. Burası Bolivya’nın ikinci en yüksek dağı ve ‘‘güneşin doğduğu yer‘‘ olarak Aymaralar için kutsal sayılıyor.
Zorlu hizmetin bedeli
Bir hamal Illimani’nin eteklerinde duruyor ve tırmanışa hazırlanıyor. Bu iş, Aymara Kadınları’nın ekonomik bağımsızlıklarını kazanmalarına yardımcı oluyor. Turistlerin eşyalarını taşıyanlar günde yaklaşık 35 Dolar kazanıyorlar. Bu hatırı sayılır bir miktar, zira bir yerli kadının eline geçen aylık ortalama gelir 175 Dolar.
Birliğin gücü
‘‘Cholalar‘‘ birbirlerine halatlarla bağlı Huayna Potosí’nin dik yamacında antreman yapıyor. O bir Aymara olan Bolivya’nın ünlü spikeri Justa Canaviri, bu mücadeleci ruhu en iyi bilenlerden. Canaviri, Aymara kadınlarının Bolivya toplumundaki konumuna dair ‘ ‘Bu kadınlar bir tür ticaret yapıyorlar ve ekonomik bağımsızlıklarını üst sınıfa mensup beyaz kadınlardan daha önce elde ettiler‘‘ diyor.
