Nowy van Gogh
9 września 2013Trzeba właściwie mówić o nowym dziele holenderskiego geniusza, uważają dumni ze swego odkrycia eksperci z Muzeum van Gogha w Amsterdamie. Dzieło „Zachód słońca koło Montmajour” z 1888 roku jednoznacznie należy przypisać Vincentemu van Goghowi (1853-1890). Dwaj eksperci są przekonani, że styl obrazu, jego technika, farby, płótno, także wskazówki zawarte w liście napisanym przez van Gogha nie pozostawiają wątpliwości co do autentyczności obrazu.
Obraz powstały latem 1888 roku w Arles w Prowansji jest w posiadaniu prywatnego kolekcjonera sztuki, którego tożsamość utrzymywana jest jednak w tajemnicy. Muzeum w Amsterdamie już wkrótce na okres roku udostępni arcydzieło publiczności.
Ważny okres
Według informacji muzeum obraz pochodzi z jednego z najważniejszych okresów twórczości van Gogha. Powstały w nim słynne „Słoneczniki”, „Żółty dom” czy „Sypialna w Arles”. – Odkrycia takiej miary w historii naszego muzeum jeszcze nie było – powiedział Axel Rüger, dyrektor Muzeum Vincenta van Gogha.
„Zachód słońca koło Montmajour” znalazł się w rękach specjalistów już w 1991 roku, kiedy do muzeum oddał go do ekspertyzy właściciel obrazu. Eksperci stwierdzili wtedy, że jest to falsyfikat. Dziś dysponują znacznie lepszymi możliwościami technicznymi, tłumaczy zmianę ich zdania gazeta „NRC Handelsblad”.
