Jivu la volkano lasambaa Ulaya

Jivu kutoka mlima wa volkano Grimsvotn, ulioripuka nchini Iceland, huenda likavuruga baadhi ya safari za ndege barani Ulaya leo hii.

Jivu la volkano laathiri safari za ndege Ulaya

Wataalamu wa kutabiri hali ya hewa wanasema, upepo mkali unasababisha jivu hilo kuelekea eneo la kaskazini la Ulaya.

Ziara ya Rais wa Marekani Barack Obama pia imepangwa upya kwa sababu ya jivu hilo la volkano linalosambaa kutoka Iceland. Hiyo jana alifupisha ziara yake nchini Ireland na alielekea kituo chake cha pili mjini London, Uingereza.

Kwa mujibu wa idara inayosimamia usafiri wa ndege za abiria nchini Uingereza, wingu la jivu, linatazamiwa kufika Ireland na kaskazini mwa Uingereza hii leo. Shirika moja la ndege la Scotland limeshafuta safari zake zote za ndege, kwa asubuhi ya leo.

Ufaransa na nchi za Scandinavia pia zipo katika hali ya tahadhari, ikitazamiwa kuwa jivu hilo litasambaa hadi katika anga za nchi hizo. Mwaka jana, mripuko wa volcano uliotokea katika mlima mwingine nchini Iceland, ulivuruga safari za ndege kwa siku sita na kiasi ya abiria milioni 10 walikwama.
