Jeshi la Syria laanza tena kuushambulia mji wa Homs

Majeshi ya Syria leo hii yameanza tena kuushambuliwa mji wa maandamani wa Homs, baada ya serikali ya nchi hiyo kukataa mpango wa Jumuiya ya Nchi za Kiarabu wa kutaka kupelekwa vikosi vya kulinda amani nchini humo.

Muda mfupi kabla kukucha leo hii, jeshi la Syria lilivurumisha mizinga katika enero la Baba Amr, eneo ambalo linajulikana kama ngome ya upinzani katika mji wa kati wa Homs.

Kwa mujibu wa Kundi la Uangalizi wa Haki za Binadamu nchini humo, shafishashafisa huo iliendelea mpaka katika jimbo la Deraa ambapo wapinzani kadhaa wametiwa kizuizini.

Mashambulio mjini Aleppo

Taarifa kutoka katika maeneo ya mapigano zinasema, kumekuwa na mashambulizi kati ya vikosi vya serikali pamoja na wanajeshi waasi katika mji wa Lajat. Aidha vikosi vya serikali katika eneo hilo vimewakamata wanawake wannne wa wapinzani. Kuna taarifa pia ya mauaji yanayofanywa na wadunguaji waliojificha katika mji wa kati wa Hama.

Makundi ya haki za binadamu yanasema jeshi la Assad limeuwa kiasi ya watu 500 katika mji wa Homs tangu waanza kuishambulia kwa silaha nzito nzito vikiwemo vifaru, mizinga na maroketi Februari 4.

Baada ya harakati za mazungumzo ya jana mjini Cairo, Jumuiya ya Nchi za Kiarabu imesema imekubaliana kuanzisha kuwa na mawasiliano ya wazi na upinzani nchini Syria pamoja na kuuomba Umoja wa Mataifa kuunda kikosi cha pamoja na ulinzi wa amani.

Jumuiya hiyo ambalo ni kundi la mataifa 22 pia imetangaza kumalizika kabisa kwa mpango wake wa uangalizi nchini Syria, ambao ulisimamishwa mwezi uliyopita kufuatia nchi hiyo kuendelea kugubikwa na vurugu licha ya kuwepo kwa waangalizi hao.

Balozi wa Syria nchini Misri alilishutumu azimio la nchi za kiarabu la kutaka kuwepo na walinzi wa amani wa amani nchini mwake,jambo ambalo pia Algeria na Lebanon zimeelezea shakashaka zao.

Mataifa mengine ya kigeni nayo yameanza kuunga mkono wito huo wa jana wa mawaziri wa mambo ya nje wa Arab Leage ambapo Uingereza imesema itashirikiana na umoja huo bega kwa bega katika kufanikisha hatua hiyo.

Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa Uingereza William Hague amesema nchi yake iko tayari kushiriki katika kuchangia kifedha na kisiasa katika kusaka suluhisho la mgogoro wa Syria.
