Nineteen-year-old Ginni Mahi is a Punjabi folk, pop and hip-hop musician who uses her music to challenge the caste system. Ginni grew up in a Dalit community, considered the lowest caste in India. Since rocketing to social media stardom in 2016, Ginni has been dubbed “a viral voice of assertion for ‘lower’ castes”. WorldLink talked to her.
