The construction along the outer wall of one of the highest skyscrapers in the US is just about 14 meters (46 ft) long and 1.20 meters (4 ft) across and made of 3 cm (1.25 inch) thick glass. The glass slide, along with the open-air observation platform, is part of a 50 million dollar make-over of the 72-floor building.
Starting June 25, visitors will be able to enjoy the view from the observation platform reaching as far as the Pacific Ocean, the hills of Santa Monica and the San-Fernando valley, at a cost of $25 (22 euros). For an additional $8, (7 euros), thrill seekers can use the slide.
