There is an abundance of rivers and lakes in and around the German capital, and these days, a growing number of entrepreneurs are making the most of them and opening restaurants on boats.
Berlin is known for its diverse restaurant scene. But as DW's Rachel Stern reports, hybrid, fusion and crossover restaurants don't always receive a warm welcome - often for political reasons.
The German capital is hosting two festivals of lights right now. This year, "Berlin Illuminated" and "Festival of Lights" will run from September 29 until October 15.
