Berlin is losing some of its appeal to tourists, particularly German ones. From January through November, the number of visitors checking into the capital's hotels dropped 4.2 percent to a total of 4.4 million, a spokesman for Berlin Tourism Marketing said Monday. In November, the total decrease amounted to 8.3 percent compared with October, the spokesman said. The drop was blamed on German guests, the number of whom fell by 11.3 percent during the month.
