An airplane bound for Istanbul made an emergency landing in Munich on Tuesday evening after a 28-year-old Turkish man told flight crew he had explosives in his mobile phone. The 150 passengers and seven flight personnel aboard the plane were uninjured. Police in Munich said the man tried to flee once the plane had landed, but hurt himself during a jump out of the airplane door. Bomb experts searched the plane following the incident, but didn't detect any explosives. The man, who is to appear before a judge on Wednesday, was unarmed. The man, who was being deported following the expiration of his German visa, cited marital problems as his motivation for the crime.
