Internet on Wheels

Sheetal Bootoli is on a mission. She wants to give the gift of the internet to people across India. For two years, she's been cycling from village to village, getting people online.

Only around a quarter of India's 1.3 billion inhabitants have internet access. Women in rural areas are especially disadvantaged. Sheetal Bootoli wants to get people acquainted with the internet. She works for the "Internet Saathi" initiative or, in English, “Internet partner”, cycling from village to village. Big name brands like Intel and Google sponsor the project. These companies are investing in their customers of tomorrow.
