The Trump administration has yet again pulled the United States out of a major global body — this time the UN Human Rights Council. The move comes a day after the UNHRC criticized Trump's immigration policies.
The opposition leader is being sued for his comments accusing RSS of assassinating Indian freedom icon Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhi scion, who heads the opposition Congress party, has pleaded not guilty.
Rights groups have called on Saudi authorities to release all activists arrested for campaigning for women's rights. The kingdom's reforms have come under fire for not doing enough to protect activists.
International rights groups have questioned the regime's reform agenda after the activists were identified and called traitors in the media. All those arrested had called for an end to the ban on women driving cars.
