My favorite German wines come from the Moselle River Valley. I love the Rieslings from Bernkastel and the area around Trier. Someday I would love to tour the valley on a cruise boat and stop along the way to visit the towns and castles. -- Gary Rapp, US

We went to a wine festival close to Munich. It was in a tent and we were handed a glass -- a real glass -- to drink from. None of this plastic stuff that you have to drink out of here. You could take the glass home, or you could leave it on the table. We had the best time. People linked arms and sang the songs that apparently everyone knew the words to. -- Trudy Miller, US

For me, the botanical garden in Dortmund is one of the best places to visit in Germany, also the Church of Our Lady in Nuremberg. -- Elvine Mbak, Cameroon

Berlin is a great city to ride a bicycle in. I rent a bicycle from a shop on Auguststrasse and see the city from end to end. There are bike paths everywhere and the drivers obey the traffic laws, which makes riding in a big city a lot less stressful. My favorite places to visit are the Humana stores, the flea market at Arkonaplatz, Grunewald, Prenzlauer Berg, Gesundbrunnen Center, and Alexanderplatz. The architecture in the older neighborhoods in the East can be really interesting, and there are some beautiful bridges in the city. A bicycle will get you anywhere you want to go. -- Mark McGraw, US

I lived in Germany for over 16 years and have traveled all over Germany, even after the Wall came down in 1989. Germany has so much to offer with the wine festivals to the museums and castles to see, plus the beautiful forests. My grandmother had told me how beautiful her country was, but it was so much more. The architecture is so unique and very detailed. The towns and cities are so clean and well cared for. I lived in Heilbronn and Hanau and both cities are lovely. My favorite area is the Swabian Alps area with the clear lakes and wonderful views of the mountains. -- Donna Bryan, US
