Police arrest 148 in running battles with protesters

Hong Kong police said 148 people were arrested in one day, the largest daily toll since huge pro-democracy protests began two months ago. DW's Charlotte Chelsom-Pill was in Sham Shui Po, one of several places that saw confrontations between protesters and police. Beijing has warned that punishment was only a matter of time for "violent criminals" pushing Hong Kong toward a "dangerous abyss."
