Ägypten übt Demokratie # 19.03.2011 13 Uhr # Journal English

History is being made in Egypt -- people are going to the polls for the first time since President Hosni Mubarak was toppled by a popular uprising last month. They are voting in a referendum on a range of constitutional amendments that could determine how quickly Egypt can hold elections. Pro-democracy campaigners however are split over the proposed changes. Some say they don't go far enough and are calling for a complete rewrite of the constitution.
