When Mumbai's Ekinath Khedekar started to go blind at the age of seven, he knew he wouldn't let his disability hamper his sense of adventure — even cycling up the Himalayas to the highest mountain pass in the world.
New safety measures in Nepal will ban solo climbers and people with some disabilities from scaling the country's mountains. More than 290 people have died attempting to scale Everest, the world's highest mountain.
