World in Progress: South Korea's Sea Women
For centuries, the women of the South Korean island of Jeju have helped support their families by diving for seafood. They dive with simple equipment, holding their breath for several minutes. Many haenyeo or 'sea women' are over 60 now, since the young generation is less interested in the dangerous tradition.
