Kenya's capital of Nairobi has an up and coming tech scene that is also known as Silicon Savannah, in reference to California's Silicon Valley. One innovative app that was developed there is connecting people in disaster zones and is helping them find access to clean water. The app is used in over 160 countries as well as by the United Nations.
