Living on shifting ground in Brazil

The city of Abaetetuba is in Brazil's flood-prone Amazon delta. Rapid urban expansion there means some neighborhoods have essentially been built atop water-logged embankments rather than on solid land. Residents fear it's only a matter of time before the ground beneath their homes collapses.
