There are just a handful of medical centers in Africa that use needles and substitute drugs to help addicts. The only center in West Africa is located in Dakar, Senegal. The hope is to reduce the rate of HIV and Aids among drug addicts in the capital - while helping them ditch illegal drugs. Yet it's just a start to address drug addiction in Senegal and across the region.
