It is said that Thuringia is the green heart and geographical center of Germany. From here great thinkers like Luther and Goethe moved the world. A federal German state with many sides.
Extensive forests, meadows and thousands of lakes make up the charm of the landscape of this state in the northeast of Germany. More than 500 castles and mansions are an invitation to stay and admire.
In the thirty years since German reunification, much of Potsdam's old city center has been restored. The palaces and parks of the Prussian kings are in mint condition again.
We, Olivera Zivkovic and Emily Gordine from DW, traveled for two weeks across Germany in a camper van to find out how the coronavirus pandemic has affected traveling and tourism in Germany. This is what we experienced.
